Red Cross Blood Drive Aug. 23
We at the Island Heights Volunteer Fire Company #1 give countless hours of our time to help protect those in and around our community each year. We give our blood, sweat, and tears to do our best to ensure that everyone goes home at the end of the day. Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs donor blood to save their life. This summer, on Monday, August 23rd, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, the American Red Cross will be conducting a Blood Drive in our town at the Island Heights Grade School. Several of our members have already signed up to give a little more blood than they already do, to ensure that someone in need can hopefully go home. The link found here will take you to the Island Heights Community Blood Drive registration, which will be held in the Gymnasium of the Island Heights Grade School. We urge you to consider signing up as soon as possible to donate.
